Sirat is an independent, free and non-commercial service. By using the Sirat app, website, or hosted API, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Sirat does
Sirat helps plan UK driving journeys around prayer. It combines route estimates with mosque information and distinguishes confirmed jamaat times, mosque start times, and calculated times. The hosted Sirat API supports the app; it is not an unrestricted public API unless an endpoint is expressly documented as such.
Sirat is not turn-by-turn navigation, an emergency service, or religious advice. Traffic, arrival estimates, mosque details, and prayer times can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Check important arrangements with the mosque and use a proper navigation service while driving. Do not interact with the app while it is unsafe to do so.
Fair use
Do not disrupt or overload the service, evade rate limits or access controls, attempt unauthorised access, test security without prior permission, or use Sirat to break the law or infringe another person's rights. Automated or high-volume access requires prior written permission unless it is offered by a documented public API.
Availability and third-party services
Sirat is provided as available and may be corrected, limited, suspended, or withdrawn. Apple Maps, Google Maps, MapKit, mosque websites, and timetable sources have their own terms and availability. Sirat is not responsible for their services.
Intellectual property
Sirat's app, API, website code, design, and original writing are proprietary and are not open source. You may use the service normally but may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit those materials except where applicable law expressly permits it.
The UK Mosque Jamaat Directory database has separate reuse terms described on its Data and attribution page. Third-party material remains subject to its owner's rights.
Responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, the operator is not responsible for loss caused by reasonable reliance on an inaccurate third-party timetable, route or arrival estimate, or by interruption of this free service.
